Except sealed records, all our products are second hand records and therefore have been used previously by their former owners.
Bite It! Records will provide a grading conditions for the records and for the sleeve. Unless indicated otherwise, the grading is visual. It takes into consideration both the general wear (brightness, color, appearance, etc.) and the particular wear (marks, scratches, etc).
The grading will follow the collectors international grading system:
Sealed: cover with its protective plastic. The record was never opened but may present some minimal wear on the corners, cut or promotional hole.
Excellent (EX): Perfect cover, although not sealed. It can present some minimal wear on the corners or cut or promotional hole.
Very Good ++ (VG++): A grading very close to the EX, but with a very little noticeable use. Almost perfect.
Very Good + (VG+): Most records used but not abused have this grading. Same as VG++, but with a greater presence of light wear or slight discoloration. The appearance is still very good.
Very Good (VG): The sleeve was used a lot or was stored without care. The sleeve has presence of wear, split seams or ring wear.
Good (G): Very bad conditions, with seams completely splits and heavy wear. We are only selling very rare records in this condition.
Sealed: The record has never been opened or played. It is in his original condition, as it came out of the factory.
Excellent (EX): The record is like new. It has been used so rarely or never, that it is not perceived in hearing or in visual perception.
Very Good ++ (VG++): The record listens EX, but visually a minimal use is perceived. Almost EX.
Very Good + (VG+): Most records used but not abused have this grading. will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Defects should be more of a cosmetic nature, not affecting the actual playback as a whole. Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don’t affect one’s listening experiences. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are “OK”.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song’s intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound
Good (G): The record has bad sound, jumps, clicks, pops and scratches. We are only selling very rare records in this condition.
Note: In certain cases, parentheses will be used for grading [For example: VG+(+)]. These parentheses are used when the condition of the record or the sleeve is between two grades. [For example, a VG+(+) record is between VG+ and VG++]
